An underrated ability

The distinctive quality that makes a human stand out amongst all living creatures on this planet is its ability to commit suicide. If life throws enough bull-shit then there is that option. In some cases if things go slightly beyond the psychological threshold then also suicide is the first pick. I am not going to preach if it’s right or wrong. It is just a matter of opinion.

Now let’s talk about other animal species especially, those spending their life in cages waiting to be slaughtered, reproducing, again to be slaughtered. Few would be spending time in labs getting something inserted or extracted (a lot to do with syringes and pain), looks weird and purposeless from an animal point of view (if any). Then, such a life without the option or ability to commit suicide.

While leaving aside the lens of morality, rights, etc. Watching the above situation the way it is. An optimal one-liner would be ‘ Uncool, Oh! great creator that’s uncool ’. This scenario is a proper example of nature’s discrimination.

Suppose someday there comes a specie that overpowers human beings and starts practising their curiosity-driven projects on them, then this ability (to perform suicide) might not go underrated.
